All our cabins and cottage are non-smoking.  You may smoke outside, using provided ashtrays

 

Methods of payment:

 We can accept Visa or MasterCard over the phone or email.  If you prefer another type of card, you can pay online at www.paypal.com to send money to carolyn@willowbrookcottage.com .  

5% savings for personal checks, since we have to pay credit card companies for use  of cards.   If time permits, you can send a personal check.  We will only temporarily hold the reservation for 7 days to allow for check by regular mail to arrive.   Checks should be made out to Carolyn MacMahon and sent  to our rental office (not the cottage or cabin address):

Deposits

$100 (for up to three day reservation)  or 25% (for longer than three days) deposit holds your reservation until 4 weeks before your arrival date, at which time the remainder is due.

$50 security deposit is charged ahead of time for children or pets; it is refunded if no damage occurs.  Refunds are mailed 2 weeks after departure.

$50 damage deposit is not charged at time of reservation or booking; however, if damage occurs, the charge will be added to credit card charge, after we contact you.

Remember, reservations can be held only with payment of deposit (up to 4 weeks before  arrival) or total amount due (within 4 weeks of arrival), depending on how far in advance you reserve. 

 

Refund policy

The $100 reservation deposit is to hold your dates off the market until 4 weeks prior to arrival, so others cannot book them.  Therefore, the deposit is not refunded if you cancel.   If we can rebook the dates (which is often the case, especially weekends or peak times), we will refund all your deposit less a rebooking fee of $30.

If you cancel within 4 weeks of your arrival, your payment will also be refunded if we can rebook to someone else, less the $30 re-booking fee.   For death in the family or illness, we use the same policy as the airlines in considering refunds or re-scheduling (name and phone of funeral home or doctor certification of illness).  We do try to work with our guests if unforeseen emergencies occur and make every effort to call waiting lists to help rebook.   Many dates are waitlisted.
